Ventilation Type
Vent Free gas logs do not require the use of a damper and chimney. Vented gas logs require and open damper and functional chimney.
Gas Type
If you receive a monthly invoice from a municipal gas supplier you most likely have Natural Gas (NG). If you have a large tank that is filled by an independent gas company you most likely have Liquid Propane (LP) gas.
