  • What is your Mission Statement?

    Our Mission

    Our mission is to become the best Casual Living retailer to work for and be a part of within the Carolinas and beyond.   Our goal is 7 markets in 7 years (by 2028).  We will become one of the most respected companies in the casual living industry by continually improving upon our People, Processes, and Product offering.

    We will invest in our people by: utilizing technology, providing sales and product training, making information easy to share and accessible and we will test for results.  We will be a platform and a place of encouragement for everyone to achieve significant (both personal and professional) growth and meet goals.  We will provide a clear path for those who wish to grow into higher-level positions and take on additional responsibilities.  Our team members will be able to help shape their daily work environments by using the simple guidance of our company culture and safety.

    When a customer arrives at one of our showrooms, they will see a clean, colorful, well-organized and exciting mix of some of the highest quality and best value products that our industry has to offer.   Our inventory will be precisely controlled to match our customer’s wants and needs while also matching the financial resources of the company.  We will offer the fastest and most consistent delivery of our products and services as possible. Our product mix will be interesting and diverse and we will continually work to make it accessible, easy to shop, and understand.

    We will operate on documented processes for every aspect of our organization.  In turn, our customers will have a consistent shopping experience and level of customer service that is unrivaled by any other retailer in the industry.  We will do what we said we will do when we said we will do it; with clarity and meaningful communication throughout the entire experience.  We will under promise and over deliver on every interaction we make.  To ensure quality of experience, we will keep as many services in-house as possible and only outsource when financially and logistically required to do.

    We will drive new clients to our showrooms by having exciting and intriguing storefronts and by becoming marketing experts.  We will exploit the fact that our people and our past customers are some of our best marketing resources.   All marketing will be continuously be tested and measured and constantly improved upon.  All of our marketing efforts will send the message that our high-quality products (at guaranteed lowest prices) with the help of our people can create casual living spaces that bring family friends together (most important times in life).

    We will cherish our relationships with our vendors and suppliers and will meet our financial responsibility to them.  In turn, we will require their utmost support in terms of customer service, pricing, and exclusivity as needed.

  • What is the Company's Culture?

    Our Company Culture is reviewed often and is the basis for the way we operate, the way we treat each other and our clients/customers and even helps us decide on which products and Vendors we carry.  Our Culture is a living breathing document and suggestions can by made by our teams to adjust, add to and revise as we see fit (and grow!)

    I am committed 100% to my personal success, that of my-coworkers and teammates and the Company as a whole.    I am committed to the Vision, Mission, Culture and success of Casual Furniture World, its current and future team, and its clients at all times. I always recommend products and services of Casual Furniture World prior to going outside the company.

    I am responsible for my actions, the outcomes that my actions (or lack thereof) will bring, and own everything that takes place in my work and my life. I am accountable for my results and I know that for things to change, first I must change. (BE x DO = HAVE)

    I speak positively of my fellow team members, my clients and Casual Furniture World in both public and private. I speak with good purpose.  I do not and will not participate in gossip*, nor will I permit the same to be done in my presence. I greet and farewell people using their name. I always apologize for any upsets first and then look for a solution. I only ever discuss concerns in private with the person involved.

    I view my life, and the life of those around me, as a journey to be enjoyed and appreciated.  I love what I do, and if I ever feel that I don’t, I will have an open and honest discussion with my manager to seek possible changes to the WAY I do things, a lateral move within the company or to possibly explore other opportunities.  As a Company, we will fully support and nor retaliate against team members who are open and honest with us in

    I understand and believe that I must keep myself physically and mentally fit to BE my best.  Physical Fitness requires a plan and goals.  Mental fitness requires reading related to my position and responsibilities, training and practicing.  I understand that the two are closely linked and you cannot have one without the other.   I will encourage the same of my co-workers and team members.

I will follow the systems that are in place and I will suggest system improvements as I see necessary.

    I always speak the truth and act in an honest manner. What I promise is what I deliver. (UNDER PROMISE – OVER DELIVERY) I only ever make agreements with myself and others that I am ABLE to and willing keep. I communicate potentially broken agreements at the first opportunity, and I clear up all broken agreements immediately.

    Sales and Design Team Member:  All Locations

    Applicants should have great communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team, like working with people, and have a positive attitude. Retail Sales and/or interior design experience is preferred but not required.

    Receptionist / Customer Service – All Locations

    Applicants should be highly organized with great personal and digital communication skills.  You will support a team of 3 to 4 sales and designers but answering phones, notifying customers of product arrivals and occasionally handling overflow foot traffic.

    Warehouse and Delivery Team Members: All Locations

    Applicants should be able to lift 75 lbs, very familiar with hand tools(assembly), and enjoy offering an exceptional level of customer service as the last point of contact for our customers and clients.  Advancement opportunities available through service and leadership.
