HearthStone Bari TruHybrid: A Modern Wood Stove That Rotates
Casual Furniture WorldMost wood stoves look traditional. The HearthStone Bari TruHybrid does not. It is a sleek, round, contemporary stove that rotates to face the room, burns cleaner than the EPA's 2020 standard and comes in steel, soapstone and textured ceramic finishes. It has become one of our most popular stoves with people who want real wood heat in a modern home.
German engineering, sold by HearthStone
HearthStone, based in Morrisville, Vermont, is known for soapstone wood stoves. The Bari is designed and manufactured exclusively in Germany by Hase Kaminofenbau GmbH, which makes its own steel, ceramic and vermiculite components in-house. The thick-gauge steel is precision formed for a clean, tight fit and finish.
What makes the Bari different
TruHybrid combustion
The Bari burns in three stages: primary, secondary and a tertiary stage with a catalyst. The result is clean, efficient heat that HearthStone says surpasses the 2020 EPA clean-air standard, with a certified rate of 0.94 g/hr. It is fully adjustable, so you can run it hot and fast or low and slow.
Two-layer construction
An inner steel body controls combustion while outer panels create a convection channel that circulates warm air into the room and keeps outside surfaces cooler. Ceramic and soapstone panels also store heat and release it slowly after the fire burns down.
It rotates
The Bari turns up to 225 degrees, so you can face the fire toward the sofa, the kitchen or the dining table. Lock it in place for closer clearances: 13 inches to the side, 11 inches to the rear and 10 inches in a corner.
Finishes for any style
Choose all steel for a minimal look, soapstone for extra heat storage, or ringed, lined and smooth ceramic finishes for texture and color.
