Jøtul F 500 V3 Oslo Wood Stove: Why It Is One of Our Most Popular Stoves
Casual Furniture WorldIf you want one wood stove that can warm most of a house, take full-length firewood and still look like an heirloom, the Jøtul F 500 V3 Oslo belongs at the top of your list. It is one of the most popular stoves we sell, and after years of showing it to customers, we understand why.
Norwegian heritage, assembled in Maine
Jøtul has been fighting the cold since 1853, when the company started casting iron stoves in Norway. That foundry tradition still shapes every stove they make. For North America, Jøtul AS produces the cast iron parts in Norway, and Jøtul North America assembles the stoves in Gorham, Maine, where the team builds the Jøtul wood and gas stoves sold here. The Oslo's name is a nod to those Norwegian roots.
Cast iron is the heart of the Oslo. It absorbs heat from the fire and radiates it out evenly and steadily, so the room stays comfortable long after the flames die down instead of swinging between too hot and too cold.
What makes the F 500 V3 Oslo different
Jøtul Fusion clean-burn technology
The V3 uses Jøtul's patented Fusion Technology, which combines a non-catalytic, secondary-burn design with the Jøtul High Flow Combustor. There is no combustor bypass to remember, so the stove runs in clean-burn mode all the time. It earned two Vesta awards, including Best in Show and Best New Technology.
Big heat and long burns
The Oslo heats up to 2,300 square feet, burns up to 10 hours on a load and takes logs up to 24 inches long. That means fewer trips to the woodpile and less splitting to make wood fit.
Front and side loading
A side door lets you add a long split without reaching into the fire, while the front doors give you a wide view of the flames.
Finishes that last
Choose classic Matte Black or durable porcelain enamel in Blue Black or Linen. A Clean Face version is also available for a simpler, more modern look.
