Description

The HearthStone Green Mountain 40 TruHybrid Cast Iron Wood Stove delivers clean, efficient wood heat in a compact traditional design. Built from durable cast iron and lined with soapstone, the Green Mountain 40 is sized for smaller homes and living spaces while still producing up to 40,000 BTU/hr and heating areas up to 1,400 sq. ft.

Inside, the 1.32 cu. ft. firebox is lined with soapstone blocks that absorb the intense heat of the fire and gradually radiate it back into the room. HearthStone's TruHybrid combustion system combines primary, secondary, and catalytic combustion to make efficient use of each load of wood while achieving 79% HHV efficiency and low emissions of 1.07 g/hr.

The Green Mountain 40 accommodates logs up to 16 inches long and provides up to 16 hours of HeatLife. Its front-loading firebox and large glass window make tending the fire convenient while providing a clear view of the flames. With its clean lines and traditional Matte Black cast iron construction, the GM40 offers a straightforward wood stove appearance that works well in a variety of spaces.

The stove uses a 6-inch top-exit flue and supports both single-wall and double-wall connector configurations. An optional convection blower with rear heat shield can improve heat circulation while reducing required rear clearance, and an optional outside air adapter is available for installations requiring outside combustion air.
