Description

The HearthStone Green Mountain 80 TruHybrid Wood Stove is the largest stove in the Green Mountain family, built for serious whole-home heating and long burn cycles. Its spacious 3.16 cu. ft. firebox accommodates logs up to 23 inches long and produces up to 80,000 BTU/hr, providing heating capacity for spaces up to 2,500 sq. ft.

Inside, the large firebox incorporates HearthStone's heat-retaining materials to help provide comfortable, sustained warmth. With up to 30 hours of HeatLife, the Green Mountain 80 is designed to continue providing usable heat long after the initial fire has settled down.

HearthStone's TruHybrid combustion system combines primary, secondary, and catalytic tertiary combustion to extract more heat from each load of firewood while maintaining exceptionally clean combustion. The current Model 8681 is rated at 80% efficiency with EPA emissions of just 0.53 g/hr.

The Green Mountain 80 features a large front-loading door and expansive glass viewing area that provides an impressive view of the fire. The Model 8681 also introduces a refined cast iron exterior with a linear texture, flush-mounted door, hidden hinges, and an updated roller-latch handle system.

Installation flexibility is a major advantage of the current GM80. Unlike the previous Model 8680, which used an 8-inch top-exit flue, Model 8681 uses a more versatile 6-inch flue that can be configured for either top or rear exit. An optional rear heat shield can significantly reduce rear clearance, and the optional convection blower mounts in conjunction with the rear heat shield to help circulate warm air throughout the room.
